A Bit of Background

Dogs have always been a part of my life. My mother raises Miniature Dachshunds. But we all started when I was in junior classes with Australian Shepherds and got hooked on the AKC show world. After a lifetime of exposure to breeding and showing we decided to do our part to preserve purebred dogs. Through careful selection of stud and dam, health tests, proving our breeding through showing and taking lifetime responsibility for the dogs we breed. This is the birth and commitment of Rosewick Kennels.

We loved our cardigan welsh corgis but we have also pursed to show and breed shetland sheep dogs and of course  dachshunds. We have owned other breeds from time to time. All of our dogs are a central part of our family and are raised inside with our children and other small pets. We socialize our puppies as soon as they are born. 

If you decide to work with us, we seek the best fit for each puppy and family, take into consideration what you are looking for in a dog. If you are interested in show prospects, we carefully choose who we feel would do great in the ring. All of our dogs are health tested and OFA certified. We choose each of our dogs studs with the intention of improving and preserving the breed.
